It seems like the founders or operators of this dog course have completely disappeared. My credit card continues to be charged, even though I have reached out multiple times. I have sent repeated messages and received no replies whatsoever—no acknowledgment, no support, nothing.

All their poos are done outside day and night, during the day all wees are done outside, however some nights they will wee inside on the curtain right beside their doggie door, or occasionally in another room on the way to the doggie door.

Needless to say the spot stain carpet cleaner was money well spent!

Any ideas on how to stop them doing this?

They go out to the toilet before we all go to bed every night.

They know it is the wrong thing to do, as when we call them both over and ask them who did this, and tell them that wees are done outside, they will put themselves outside for about 5 minutes before coming back in. We have never yelled at them for doing this or rubbed their noses in it or anything like that, we just tell them that wees and poos are done outside.

No we don't use crates, they are not ever going to be our thing.

We haven't desexed them yet, do you think they are marking their territory instead?

Any ideas on how to get them to stop?

Here's the but then, my hip deteriorated and I needed a new one.  I could not find a surgeon who would give me one.  I weighed too much, but a body resists losing weight when it cannot move because of debilitating pain.  I hired a trainer to help me figure out how to work around my disabilities. His answer was an e collar, which worked pretty well, as Griff did not mind paying attention to it. He responded to very little stimulus. Unfortunately, the trainer quit abruptly (with all his clients).  Then a few months later, in March of 23, the ball on my femur bone disintegrated and I was no longer mobile. I went searching for surgeons again, 3 said no, still too heavy, although and get this, if I had fallen and fractured any bone around my hip or leg, I would have been given a hip no matter what my weight.  I was furious.  Because I had been favoring my right hip since I fell in 2018, by March of 2023, the ball of my femur was gone as were all the bones in my left wrist were gone, eated by arthritis, my left knee and ankle are both bone on bone, and the lower vertebra in my spine have severe arthritis. 

In late May of 2023 I found a surgeon who said yes, finally and in early June, I got my hip.  Rehabilitation has been very difficult because of my left side joints.  When I went into the rehab facility, I got no rehab.  Short-staffed, they said.  Then why am I here?  I had no one at home to help me, that was why.  I had to board Griff with a woman who boards in her home, better than a kennel I thought. 

He came back to me way different, barking, peeing inside again and not listening. I still struggle with these.  I need help.  His excitement is too intense and the e collar doesn't work at the same low level as before so I don't use it.  I use a walker and have balance issues, I am afraid to walk him for fear of falling and fear of losing him to the forest that surrounds my home and the predators it contains.  We play inside, ball mostly and he has a small fenced yard where he barks at deer and birds and bats and neighbors' dogs that run loose, and neighbors, and the UPS guy, Mail truck, garbage truck, and he does all this barking inside the house as well. I cannot get on the floor with him because I cannot get back up, and I cannot use my walker over rough ground.

So I need some workarounds for any of the training that requires a physicality that I do not possess.  I want to be able to get down, or take him to different locations, outside for instance, but I don't do stairs well. I do have a paved driveway and can get out to that, but there are the loose dogs  or deer to stimulate him possibly causing me to fall.  But I am willing to try. 

He already has a lot of skills. He touches my hand and looks me in the eye before getting a treat and he picks things up for me when I drop them, pens, paper, salt shaker, grabbers, just about anything. For which I give him a treat, small.  So he also will steal paper from the recycle bin and bring it to get that tiny treat.  He will also get my shoes from another room for me. Griff is super smart and I don't want him to loose that. He understands so many words. And he loves vegetables. I think he would rather have celery than meat.  

I am hopeful that this course can help me achieve the control to help him be my best dog.

We are also struggling with her jumping on us or people, if you turn your back to ignore her, she will jump up on your back.

Other than this, she's a great dog.  We really want a well trained dog & are trying very hard.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 5 month puppy who has been pooping and peeing in the crate. She didn’t come from a puppy mill, pet store, etc. Before coming here she went through a 5 week training course with certified dog trainers. When I got her they said she was crate trained and did well in the crate. When she first came, she never made mistakes in the crate, but then she started doing it out of the blue. I have never punished her for it and just taken her outside where I want her to potty before cleaning it with the enzyme cleaner. I usually take her outside every two hours or so, except at night. The last time I take her before bed is around 1 am and I get up and take her for the first time around 8 am. I also don’t leave her in the crate long during the day, usually only a couple of hours. The rest of the time she is either being taken outside throughout the day, in the house with the family being supervised to avoid any mistakes, or I am playing with her in the yard to ensure she gets good exercise. Also, she never makes a mistake in the house while being supervised, just in the crate sometimes. She doesn’t always make mistakes either, usually only once or twice per week. I’m sure that I’m missing something, but I can’t figure out what the problem could be or how to address this issue. I would appreciate some help or advice for this issue, thank you. 

I recently got a golden retriever puppy, Riley. We absolutely love her but she's a biter, which is extremely frustrating.

She isn't fully vaccinated yet, so we cannot take out to exercise so we play with her in the house. Within 5 minutes of us playing with her, she starts biting and jumping and there's nothing we can do to calm her down. If we turn around to not give her attention, she will run around and start chewing furniture in the house.

We have tried to give her chew toys and puzzle toys but she gets frustrated with these easily and wants to run around chew every other thing in the house than her toys.

For puzzle toys, we put her kibbles with some high value treats in a toy. Once she had the toy, she sniffed the toy and knew there was food in it but after trying to get the food for 5 mins, she gave up, got frustrated and wanted to bite me.

I'm at a loss for what to do. Please help.

Is there an OVERVIEW SECTION for the forum, so as to pinpoint the topics available.

It's really frustrating to zero in on a problem.

Day 1 practice sit 5 times practice down 5 times practice stay 5 times etc.... 

I know all dogs are different and learn at different paces but what would a reasonable schedule look like for each module?  

I have an 8 month old sweet chocolate lab who knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down, spin and high-five. 

My only issue is his biting problem. We were going on a walk a couple of days ago and I tugged on his harness when he pulled to eat something on the ground. I told him to sit and he immediately lunged at me. I turned my back to him with folded arms and he continued to bite my back and elbows. During this I had dropped the leash, and once he realized this he ran away for some time. I was in tears already, and although I should have went back inside and got assistance, I was worried he would follow me and attack the neighbors chickens. So I went near him again, hoping he was calm, took his leash and gently guided him to the path. I stopped for half a second to wipe my tears and he lunged for the second time. The bites were very painful and I was bleeding. He also ripped my clothes. I started calling for my family, and someone finally heard and came to help. He did not bite at anyone interfering, and I was able to go inside and clean my wounds. He had ripped the skin on my finger and I had several bruised punctures.

This incident is also not the first time, as he's attacked my mother to this severity, as well as my brother. We have stopped talking him for walks and are giving him exercise in our backyard. He lunges and bites either way, but when he does in the backyard we get help faster or run inside to safety. 

Other than this, he is a loving dog and we love him too, although frankly we are scared to be left alone with him.
