Thanks for the updates, I was wondering how it all turned out. Ectopic ureter and stones, I would imagine would have shown on the ultrasound/ x-rays, however, maybe they want you to see a specialist as they may be more skilled in reading images and may have better ultrasound machine. From what I know, in ectopic ureters, instead of being attached to the bladder, the ureters bypass the bladder and attach themselves elsewhere. In females, they tend to attach to the uterus or ***ina. Since none of these organs are designed for storing urine, leakage or urinary incontinence is most likely to occur. It's pretty rare, so the vets tend to leave it out and consider it only after crossing off the list more frequent causes- in other words, the "When you hear hoofbeats, think horses and not zebras" mentality. I hope that the medication helps keep her peeing more under control. It must be really draining for you!
