  1. 5 - 10 minute sessions are good. You can do several per day. You can even do non-training training. E.g., having them sit before giving them their dinner, wait at the door, etc . . .. Your dog will give you signals when they're done. Usually they'll stop listening, look elsewhere, refuse to do the thing you're asking, lie down or sit when that's not what you asked, puppies can resort to nipping or running around. Adrienne says it's best to end on a positive, so if you see them getting restless or losing interest you can ask for something easy like a sit, then end the training.
