How to fix this?

Hello dear members,

I have a 17 weeks old German Shepherd. Her training stared a bit late. I got her when she was 15 weeks.  She spent a few days in a crate and learned fast when and how she needs to do her business. We let her out in the garden alone many times never had a problem. 

However today and last week we had some kind of accidents or it was intentional i do not know.

While everybody was at home and She was out many times She decided to urinate in the living room and straight after went and pooed in the kids room.

As far I am concerned se is/was potty trained.

What should I do? Why something like this could happen?

Welcome to the forums!

Potty training takes time, so it's not totally unexpected for a young pup to have accidents here and there. It definitely doesn't take just a few days or a couple of weeks to fully potty train a puppy. 

If she is being left alone in the yard, there may be chances that she doesn't go potty when outside as there are likely too many distractions going on.

I would suggest always accompanying her on leash until she goes potty and teaching her to go potty on cue:

Once she goes potty outside, then you can take off the leash and let her explore and play in the yard and be free for some time once back inside, but always keeping an eye on her.

A young puppy as such should also not have the full run of the house. Keep her where you can always keep an eye on her so that she doesn't sneak away in another room to go potty.
