Appropriate Age to train puppy

I have a 3 mo old puppy how old before doing no nip training and walking properly on a leash

Hi weisberger! You're ready now. :) I dug up a couple posts that have a comprehensive collection of links to the training section and posts regarding puppy biting. The second link covers darn near everything you might encounter with puppy biting. At 3 months old you still have time before that "socialization window" closes so that's going to be a benefit. :)

Adrienne will be able to give more insight on the leash training. I can only speak to my experience and that was me starting leash training Momo the day I got him at 16 weeks of age. I used to put his leash on while we were in the house and attached it to my belt so he'd follow me around. It felt more natural that way And it helped me prevent potty / chewing accidents. The sooner they're exposed to it, even if it's just the collar dragging the leash around the house, the easier it will be to go on future walks.

Congrats on your new puppy!

For walking properly on the leash, you can try some leash-conditioning exercises first as outlined in the below link. You can start indoors and then progress to walks outdoors once your vet claims it's safe venturing in the great outdoors. Generally, pups finish their boosters at 16 weeks or in some cases up to 20 weeks. Infectious diseases are always a risk to young puppies.
