JMFS Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I got a new camera today - my first non-phone camera in 13 or more years. Naturally, the dogs get to be my muses. Well, Gertrude because Momo doesn't sit still long enough! Anyway, I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we can post pictures of the little rascals we're asking questions about, or not asking and just training. Whichever, I just want to see pup pics! Gertrude Marie, born circa 09/2017: Momo, born circa 07/2010; don't let that cute face fool you - he's vicious (but only sometimes)!: Abbi born circa 01/2008 and Monkey (who's not a dog) born 05/2008: 1
Adrienne Farricelli Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Lovely pups, thanks for sharing! Eager to see some more happy faces.
JMFS Posted September 13, 2019 Author Posted September 13, 2019 Here's a good one for body language: The yard guys were here and that makes Mo Very uncomfortable. Here you've got a slight whale eye (the whites showing), he's looking away / shifting his eyes, he's panting, his ears are down, and he's hunkering down. If he was standing I'd put money on his tail (nub) being tucked under. If this were another dog I would not approach him and I Definitely wouldn't reach out or bend over him. Since it's Momo, though, I know I can comfort him when he's like this by standing to his side and offering the side of my leg for him to lean into. That tends to relax him. And I still haven't gotten the hang of this new camera. :D Everything is blurry (softened) except his face. I'll figure it out eventually! It did capture his gorgeous color - he coordinates well with our floors, lol.

JMFS Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 :o Hannah's eyes are Gorgeous! Remie is trying to pull off that "who, me?" look. So nice to put the pups' faces with their names! Thank you. :)
BarbaraFox Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) According to the DNA test, Katie, the doggie on the left, is 64% Chihuahua, 20-something% Mini-Schnauzer, and the rest terrier mix. Doesn't give me much trust in DNA tests! But she's a love and we rescued her last June. Duffy is a Bernese Mountain Dog. He's the bestest boy in the world and is 4 years old. They've become great buddies and playmates. Edited June 28, 2020 by BarbaraFox 2
Adrienne Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Katie and Duffy are both adorable! Thanks for sharing their pictures!

JMFS Posted February 19, 2021 Author Posted February 19, 2021 I'm posting one of the first pics of Gertie in order to bump this thread. I couldn't figure out how the heck she was getting wet except for her back. I knew she wasn't swimming - hadn't gotten her water wings just yet and her head nor her back were ever wet. She kept disappearing around the corner over the week and I thought she was just going potty. One day I crept over to the pool area to see what she was up to. That little stinker had figured out the fist step was perfect for cooling off. These days she loves launching off the edge after a tennis ball. I convinced her to swim by diving into the pool with me. Monkey see, monkey do! I wonder if we could get this thread pinned so we can get more pooches posted here. <pleading eyes>
Adrienne Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Hi Jennifer, Gertie looks nice and comfy! I always wanted a swimming pool for my Rotties. Petra would have benefited from swimming after tearing her ACL. I just pinned this thread, thanks for the suggestion! 1
JMFS Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 I used to take Brownie and Abbi for swims to take stress off their backs. Dachshunds and those darn long spines! Last summer I got a life jacket for Abbi so she could float while we hang out, but she kind of tips to the side, lol. It has a handle and I hold on to her to keep her righted. We'll see what this summer brings. She doesn't Hate it, but she's not a fan, either. I think if it were a bit warmer she'd be more willing to take a dip; however, I know it's good for her little legs to work while they have no weight on them so it's a matter of weighing benefit against distress. If she were to show a clear sign of not wanting to go in then I'd leave her be. It's a tough call. Gertie on the other hand could be a dock jumper if I had the ability to set it up. Mo mainly takes a quick dip to cool off, then he's out. If I throw a ball he'll go in time after time, though. Thank you for pinning! I love to see the dogs folks are asking about.
Adrienne Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Hi Duke! What a lovely face and such a sweet expression! Thanks for sharing!

Adrienne Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 What a cutie! She seems attracted to all the different flowers. Lots of sniffing adventures for dogs when spring has sprung!
AbegaelJackson Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 This is my little big girl, Fraser. She is obsessed with puppies that live in mirrors and window reflections (herself). (Not sure why the image is showing rotated 🤔). She is a real sweetheart. Photos show her age 5-7.5 months (she’s 8 months now) 2
FrederykBlot Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Hello I'm a newcomer here. Just got the Brain Training 4 Dogs as I love the approach and read good reviews. Besides, for the price and the moneyback guarantee, I guess it was worth a try, so here I am, looking forward to make my little pup the brilliant angel he is inside (while for now he's mostly crazy playish :)) Pup is a Finnish Lapphound, name Loki, born the 15/02/2021 We both hope to grow better together here. 1

I know someone who has the supersized version of Loki! I literally laughed out loud when I saw his picture and instantly thought, "The Poof!" That's what my friend calls her Newfoundland mix pooch. He's enormous and fluffy and Loki looks a lot like what I'd imagine he did as a puppy. I joined for the same reason - money back guarantee, what's to lose? I've been here around 3 years now and learn something new every time I look at the forum.
