StevenDickinson Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Hi there, I’m struggling with some Bichon Frise potty training issues. We for him at the end of September from a breeder, he was born on June 5th, so he’s coming up on 6 months. Clearly he was trained on pee pads which seemed great early on but we can’t get home to poop outside, only pees. We both work and my daughter is in school until 2:30pm and we can’t afford a dog walker and don’t have anyone to walk him and we can’t come home for lunch. With all of these challenges, I’m not sure what can we do to potty train this little guy? Thank you
Adrienne Farricelli Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 Hi there, Welcome to the forums, Where does your puppy stay when you leave the home? In such a case, you may find it helpful to keep him confined in an exercise pen with the pee pads on one side and on the opposite side his mat/bed, food and water bowl and toys. This should help inculcate his denning instinct, which is a dog's natural tendency to not soil where they eat, drink, sleep and play.
