We'll have to start at the preliminary, but at least this one seems easy enough :)
In his case, I think it's more the envy to go outside and play with people and other dogs rather than the answer to a threat or discomfort, as he's very social and nice to others
Usually I would let him bark outside and just ignore the behavior, but when that happens during the morning session, which is between 5am and 8am depending of his wake time, I can't let him bark outside or the neighborhood will hate us
So I put him back in if it's too early. But I don't want to scold for barking, as it's a natural behavior and I don't really label it as "bad" so I play the "ignore behavior" card
But in a living room with some space, that echoes a bit, at 6am it's hard
