  1. He was far away from the road and inside our home so he was on the leash but we weren't holding it. He suddenly decided to bolt all the way out through a small space and right on the road. Also, he barely sleeps when we're around. We built a little space for him but he absolutely does not wanna stay in it and finds ways to come out. It's getting tough for us because he's too used to being free. How do we get rid of that habit? Thanks Adrienne, we really appreciate it! :)
  2. Thanks Adrienne, this really really helped! ❤️ Ollie hates being put on a leash. He is probably too used to being free so when we put it on him, he pulls on it and starts growling like crazy (sometimes). We keep him in a room because he absolutely does not sleep around us. He scratches on the door when he wants to reunite with us and sometimes when he wants to be set free again. He hates being contained. Our little boy has learnt that peeing in his crate means he's out if it so he pees every time he put him in. How do we contain him? He always finds a way to break out of it but are aware that it's normal and actually quite fascinated about how he outsmarts us. Should we keep him around us more often? He has absolutely mastered the stay command. No matter what he's doing at home, when we ask him to stay, he calms down completely. However, today he pulled off his leash and went running towards the road and almost got hit by a car. We were absolutely terrified. Literally scared to the core. I know about the recall command but is there anything else we could do to avoid this happening again? Here's him. 🙂
  3. Hi Adrienne, My 4 month old beagle seems to be getting a bit aggressive. We are afraid if it's something we've done that is causing this or if he's getting anxious. The following were problems/signs that we encountered: 1) Biting us sometimes if we touch his face/ears/back 2) Biting us if we put a on leash him. 3) Excessive barking, growling and howling and pulling when put on a leash. 4) Random biting. 5) Excessively scratching on the door and screaming. 6) Disobedience 7) Peeing on and biting furniture. 😎8 ) Eats all the time. If there's no food around, he finds ways to climb up surfaces and swallow inedible items like wooden frames and plastic flowers. A little background about how we care for him and his schedule: Morning: 7:30am-a short run and some basic training 8:00: Breakfast and a walk until 9am 10:00-12:00: sleep 12:00-2:00- brain training and obedience training and he roams about. 2:00- lunch (mostly home cooked food) Sleeps until 4:30 Roams about in the house for a while (mostly till 6:30) Sleeps for a while 8:00pm dinner Plays until 9 Bed time He is not crate trained. He is stubborn but extremely smart. He has mastered several tricks within a day's time. One mistake we are aware of is that we gave him way too much freedom right from when he was little and still continue to do so because if we don't, he throws tantrums. (Barks, growls, etc) Could you also advice me about how many hours of sleep he essentially requires? We're very worried. Thanks Adrienne.span widget
  4. We're trying to train him in the loo but we want to start taking him out in the yard. He doesn't seem to like his crate. He pees in it even though we take him out every half an hour. He roams around and then ends up peeing as soon as he's back in his crate. We keep him in his crate when he's asleep. He has a room where he's allowed to roam about. He also runs around the house when we let him. I'm at home all day. He's very naughty and stubborn but he's a huge sweetheart too.
  5. We take him at the designated spot but he does not pee there. He pees/ poops as soon as we leave it wherever he wants. I need help
