  1. Thank you for such a detailed help! I have been doing what you’ve said for a couple of days now. Right now I’m working on keeping them on each arm without fighting and I’ve been successful! It has been an eye opener for me when you told me about the old dog’s ways of disciplining the new dog. Now I let her correct the puppy, observing if she goes beyond just growling. I also praise her when she stays calm even if the new dog is drawing close me. There really are times that she still being overprotective i guess. Really really grateful! I read your reply again and again haha! Thank you for your advice! 🙂
  2. The older dog is 3yo and she’s as tall as the pup but fat. The pup is now 5mos old, very playful. The fight happens during meals or if the old dog feels the new pup is taking away her toy. So during mealtime, they eat together and the old dog scour over the pups bowl and eats her food. The pup then heads over to the old dogs bowl then the old dog attacks her. By attacking i mean the old dog is above her, pinning the pup down. The pup is frightened and in an infant’s pose, sometimes also growling. What we do now is put them on different locations during meals. The new pup eats her food soooo quickly, tail down as if scared. I want her to enjoy her food. Sometimes im worried she developed some kind of trauma or whatnot. When im around and when the old dog is all over me, the new pup will just watch from a distance cuz at times the old dog threatens her with a growl. Most of the time the pup really keeps her distance. What can I do to correct this?
  3. Hi! I have a dog for 3yrs now and a month ago I took in a new pup. The new pup is playful and my older dog couldnt care less as she was never playful and active to begin with. At times they play and get along but as the new pup gets bigger, my older dog tends to be aggressive towards the new pup. The new pup is fearful of her and at times my older dog even attacks her. I feel helpless and need help in controlling the old dog and build more trust on the new pup.
