Hi, My 11 month old standard poodle has been allowed to stop and sniff while on walks. I thought that this was part of enjoying a walk for my dog. However, it has become difficult to get anywhere as he chooses to stop and sniff seemingly every few steps. His sniffing time is taking up a lot of time. How to I find a happy medium of letting him take sniffs, but also keep going?

Hi, My 8.5 month old standard poodle was just neutered 3 weeks ago. Before he was neutered, he began obsessively mounting/humping other dogs (mostly other males) when at a dog daycare or dog park, which helped me make the decision to get him neutered sooner than 12 months. Though I certainly don't expect things to change overnight, he is still doing this. I don't want this to become a habit for him. Do you have some suggestions to help????? Thank you

I have a 7 mo old standard poodle that requires brushing and grooming. He bites at the brush and gets anxious unless he’s chewing on something. I took him to the groomer for a bath and she really struggled with his biting at the brush ... she said it just kept getting worse. He came home pretty anxious having a hard time self regulating. Any suggestions?

Because our puppy is a COVID puppy, we are home all the time. If not, our puppy, Benson, rides in the car on our few errands. We had to be away from home today for almost 4 hours for a Dr. appointment. When we returned, Benson was panting and had obviously gotten himself really worked up, but no damage done to the house. Is there a method /strategy to help him cope with periods of time alone at home without causing the anxiety it caused today?

Hi, I have an almost 7 month old standard poodle. He has a thing for mittens! We have been pretty proactive at home...holding them away from him, asking him to leave it followed by a treat, putting them away. However, out on a trail, he will often bite at my mittens and try to take them. If I should be with another person or simply run into another person, he will go straight for their mittens, even jumping to get them. Suggestions?
