I must say this training program has helped me tremendously in many aspects. Granted there are games that my Pyr doesn’t have the attention span, but I’m able to get him to concentrate on me during stressful times. We had a vet appt today that ended successfully. The last appt he was neutered and had a terrible attitude, wanting to grab everybody. Today, he was confident, never growled or barked. We used a soft rubber muzzle for safety. He accepts it well.

I apologize for not seeing this before today. I kept his regular collar. However, I have a harness with a front attachment and bought a y shaped leash for the collar and harness front. It works very well, and I’m confident when working with him on the leash.

My 1 year old Pyrenees and I have been in preschool for the past week. We had horrific winds last evening where the cover to the electric panel was wildly slamming the house. My pup was very afraid and tried to hide and even more so upset when I left the house to fix the problem. Upon my return, he ran to me, sat immediately in front of me, and gazed steadily into my eyes. I had to share this story. I believe the two of us have started to open the lines of communication with each other.

Could you suggest a dog collar that would be good to walk a 100+ pound 1 year 4 mos Great Pyrenees. I have tried gentle leader, slip on training lead (thick yacht rope) and harness. The former two created new problems. The harness is good except when he becomes over-reactive to situations. Then, it’s a struggle to hold him. I have only been working with your training techniques for several days. Thank you.
