  1. In the increase the challenge section for the down command, you list as an example to have hi lye there for a few moments before rewarding him. How does the clicker play into this? On another section you state that you should always click at the precise moment the action has occured, followed by a treat. So when we are moving to more advanced varients of sit and down, where we would like them to stay there for whatever amount of time, do we refrain from clicking and just reward with a treat after however long has passed? Thanks
  2. Hi, I have a question regarding moving into a variable reward schedule. My dog is sitting on cue easily. I am still clicking and rewarding every time his butt touches the ground. In a few days I would like to start spacing out the rewards a little and am wondering if I should still click every time he sits, but only reward every couple of times. But then I feel like that would uncharge the clicker. So I am wondering, if a click is always accompanied by a treat, do I refrain from clicking on the variable training schedule as well? Thanks, just confused.
  3. Hello, I have three dogs. German shepherd, jack russel, and chihuahua. I am training all three of them and am in the process of teaching the two littles ones to sit. Should I use their names and the beginning of a cue, like " bella sit" and "apple sit" in order to not confuse them all when only asking one to sit? Or will they all sit anyways regardless if their name is in front or not? thanks!
  4. I have three dogs. I would like to train all three of them. I am wondering how far I need to seperate them when charging and training with the clicker. If I am charging the clicker with one dog and the other two hear it in the other room will the clicker loose association with the other two dogs? Thanks for any help
