SHANNON LAMP

I have a 9 month old Westie and a HUGE back yard with a doggie door and he absolutely loves it. I have tried to collar him but I am afraid he'll choke himself ... I then tried a harness and that was ugly too... Have I ruined him with the difference between the front and back??? HELP.
