  1. I have two dogs who seem to bark at random things when they are in the house/yard. It seems that one dog will see/hear something and let out one bark, then the other dog hears him bark and gets excited and also starts to bark. Before you know it the two of them are barking like crazy! They seem to play off one another. By themselves I'm not sure they would bark as much. The dogs are a dachshund and a chihuahua so they are prone to barking anyway. I just want to figure out a way to get them to calm down before it becomes a barkfest.
  2. Hi we have a problem with our 6 mo old dachshund mix barking/crying/whining in his crate early in the morning. Initially he would bark when we put him in the crate at the beginning of the night but a peanut butter filled treat has stopped that. Now he starts barking/crying at 5:30am and does not let up until someone lets him out. The problem is we don't want to let him out until between 6:30am and 7am. He probably thinks his barking/crying is being rewarded because we eventually do let him out but he is not learning to be quiet. We just don't know how to teach him that behavior is not wanted!
