  1. I have two questions. We’ve been working on targeting, and for some reason I’ve been saying touch. Should I stick with that word? Maybe use target when we try with paws? Second question- he tends to lick my hand instead of touching with his nose? Should I ignore that? Sometimes it works if I use a sticky note instead, but sometimes he licks that, too. Once in a while he gets so focused on the treats I can’t get him to do it. Any suggestions? Some days he has it rock solid and other says he acts like it’s completely new!
  2. It may help to know he can sit, lay, stay, wait, move, come, leave it/take it,hi five, and spin in a quiet environment. We’re working on responding to the kissing noise and touch now, and being more consistent with what he knows.
  3. My primary goals are: 1. Reducing reactivity 2. Reducing separation anxiety
  4. I just started Brain Training. There are lots of great activities. My problem is knowing what to do. My dog has the basics, but needs to perfect them. He unpredictably (1/20 times) lunges at people, dogs, bikers, etc. After our two week vacation he hates being in his crate and has chewed on the door twice. We’ve worked on separation anxieties in the past and it has returned. Where do we start, and how should we progress through the training? Does he need to pass all the 101 before starting preschool? Thanks!
