  1. That's amazing. Will this also help with recalls when distractions are present? How can I train this?
  2. Thanks for all the stories and suggestions! We've gotten as far as willingly coming into the bathroom and he will hesitantly eat treats off the bathtub ledge. It's a long process but we are going slow and steady with it.
  3. I've been using freeze dried liver, but I have also used this for all his other training as well. So I will try switching this up. He is very food driven that I cant tell if he enjoys a certain food over another. When we go into the bathroom he used to come in to sniff around but now he will stop at the door. I think we pushed him too far so I will take your suggestion and try starting over with baby steps. Thanks for the thorough response. Also, how can you tell when dogs love a particular treat?

    Bath time

Hi there! Trying to get my 4 month puppy used to the bath. We cannot seem to get past the dry tub phase. Even with treats and food he refuses to eat them while in the washroom (I'm holding him) as soon as we walk out he devours them. He gets visibly anxious and upset in the tub and we haven't even put water in it yet. I wanted to start this young so that it's not a struggle when he is bigger. And we expect him to get large. Thoughts?
  5. This has really helped! He seems to be responding well so far. It will be interesting though when I start to remove the treats as he is very food driven. One problem I seem to still be having trouble with is that he could be walking nice beside me and catch a sniff of something yummy on the ground and then refuses to continuing walking, and will then pull towards it. We've played the leave it game but haven't perfected it yet, I feel like he might even be too smart for it lol. Is there another game similar?
  6. New puppy that needs to learn leash manners. How can I teach before he out strengthens me?
  7. Just purchased this program to train my 12 week old puppy. We already have him sitting as well as some "wait" and "come". My question is, when do you move on to the next thing and do you still continuing perfecting the ones hes already learned at the same time? Is there some sort of calendar I can follow?
