  1. My 5 month old Australian Shepard is always going after my 6 year old daughters clothes. Obviously she misses a lot and get her on the legs or arms and it hurts. She doesn’t do this to any of our other kids, (5 yr old boy, 3 yr old girl, 2 yr old boy). Is there something we can do to stop this behavior? We try to have toys or bones nearby to distract her but she can’t keep a dog toy on her 24/7. Is it odd that she only goes after her? We thought maybe it was because she wears dresses a lot but have experimented with shorts and have the same result. She loves the puppy so much but We are getting to the point where she doesn’t want her around because she jumps and nips at her all the time. Any suggestions are appreciated!!
  2. We decided not to crate train our Australian Shepard because I am a stay at home mom so we are fortunate enough to be home with her a lot. We attempted it for a brief time in the beginning but I felt too guilty to leave her in a crate while the kids are running around playing and she is crying. She is 5 months olds now, I’m wondering if we made a mistake and if it’s too late to start now? She can easily escape out of her crate so she sleeps in the laundry room at night and goes there when we do leave the house. However, if she hears anyone at home she scratches the door like crazy. She’s still a chewer and a nipper so there are definitely times my life would be easier if she would relax in a crate. What are your thoughts on this?
  3. Our Australian Shepherd is about 4 months old now. We have 4 young kids so unfortunately she has had the pleasure of tasting people food at a much too young age. Now during meals she is trying to get their plates from the table and is taking fallen food off their laps. Any tips on how to go about stopping this behavior? We try “down” and “leave it” but her desire for this food seems to make her a bit crazy.
