  1. Hi, I have a 5 month old male Malamute puppy who has started randomly biting my feet, ankles and legs. While this is not out and out aggression, his size and the intensity of the ‘attacks’ make them painful. There are 4 people in the house, but in the main, he saves this attention for me. I am the oldest male in the family (61 years). When we go out for walks the biting ‘fits’ can happen Up to 3 or 4 times and he is difficult hold off. When in the house I have tried deflecting his attention with treats, leaving the room, using substitution toys but nothing seems to work. When we are out all l can do is to retrain him until he calms down but this looks terrible. Do you have an ideas? He is definitely teething so that is a contributing factor but for 95% of the time we have a perfect relationship, so the 5% is particularly frustrating and demoralising. Andy
