Hello, I have just boughtt he Brain Training for dogs training guide in the hope it helps with my 2 Standard Poodles.

 

One is dog reactive on a lead and rough player with dogs off a lead although recall is spot on. The other is giddy and bouncy and not as intelligent as the other.

 

Hoping to recondition them as they are 1 year old now and what I normally do with my boarder collies, its a different ball game with the stupidly intelligent breed of the Standard Poodle.

Reactivity on lead can be due to a dog wishing to increase distance due to the dog being fearful/not comfortable or a dog wishing to decrease distance, due to the dog eager to meet other dogs and people but being frustrated due to the leash restricting him.
