Submissive behavior/ urine leakage

I have a 8 month old goldendoodle Isaiah doodle mix. He leaks urine from submissively. For example when I get home, or he knows he may be in trouble even though I don’t send any signals he had done anything wrong. So I have to put on a diaper band on him when inside. I apologize in advance if I missed this on website. His parents don’t do this as adults. I am hoping he will grow out of this 🙏🏼Thanks

This sounds like excitement urination and submissive urination.

Here are two articles covering both cases. In general, puppies outgrow these forms of urination as they mature, but there are some things we can do to reduce these behaviors.

I often find that for pups who pee excitedly when we come home, tossing a handful of treats to the ground helps keep them busy so they don't think about peeing.

Rescue Remedy - I swear by it!  I have a dog with a pelvic bladder and insecurity.  Not a good combination!  Rescue Remedy has given her far better control of her bladder.  There are two ingredients in it that help with incontinence:  Cherry Plum and Clematis  It also has Impatiens, Rock Rose, and Star of Bethlehem (so you can take a gander at all the ingredients).

I wish I could find something with Agrimony in it as well!  She scratches when she's nervous, doesn't like to be left alone, and is almost always moving around - she has no chill unless we ourselves are chilling.  The moment I stand up she's up and pacing.

The way *I* use it, after trial and error, is to fill a large pitcher (about 64 oz) and add 6 drops.  Their instructions did Not work well for us.  Too much of this and she ate her kennel so I say start slow and titrate up if you need to.  Esther is 42 - 46 lbs (she lost a lot of weight with her last Bloat battle and Should be at 46, but isn't putting on weight).
